Expectations:

          -- Students are expected to come to class prepared.  This includes having a writing utensil (pen or pencil), binder (complete with required notes/handouts), textbook, planner, calculator, and any special material requested for that day.

          --Homework must always be done in accordance with the “Policy For Grading Homework”.  As a teacher, it is my responsibility, to insure that homework is related to class work.  It is also my responsibility to notify parents when a student repeatedly fails to complete homework assignments on time.

--Tests and quizzes will also be a regular part of our assessment.   There will be times when the use of a calculator is permitted and other times when it is not permitted.

          --All students have the responsibility of being aware of all homework assignments before they leave class.  They must also take home all necessary materials needed to complete assignments.  Expect regular assignments.  STUDENTS WILL HAVE HOMEWORK ALMOST EVERY NIGHT!   Check your child’s planner or the school website for information on these assignments.  If your child is absent from school, it is their responsibility to check on work owed during their absence, and make it up on time.  I WILL NOT CHASE THEM DOWN TO GET LATE ASSIGNMENTS FROM THEM!  Homework is a big part of making your child a successful math student and your help is needed to assist in your child’s education.
